Presentation
From Obelix’s wild boars to Popeye’s spinach, the Smurfs’ sarsaparilla to Naruto’s ramen, the Bidochon family’s Villageoise wine to the natural wines produced in Les Ignorants, comic strips are full of food and drink, some more refined than others!

Through the illustrations of a hundred or so comic book authors, the exhibition provides a fascinating insight into how the 9th art portrays our relationship with food, gastronomy and wine.

To the tune of Asterix’s “Quand l’appétit va, tout va” (When you’re eating well, you’re well), rediscover the well-known characters from your childhood through their food and drink habits. Step into the lives of certain contemporary authors and find out more about their relationship with food, on a personal and family-oriented level. Follow the illustrators as they venture into the kitchens and wine-tasting cellars as reporters to learn more about the professions in the world of fine-dining and wine. Finally, explore the corridor of the future where authors and chefs come together in pairs to share their vision for the future of food with some rather original comic strips.
